About
Hello! I am a Computer Science MS-PhD Student at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst. My areas of interest include Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing and AI for Social Good. I work in the ML for Education Lab advised by Prof. Andrew Lan. As a graduate student I have interned at AWS AI Labs in the Quicksight Q Team.
I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna where I was advised by Prof. Asif Ekbal in the AI-NLP-ML Lab from my sophomore year. During my undergrad days, I also had wonderful opportunities interning/collaborating with several industrial (SciSpace, IBM Research, Wipro Research) and academic labs (IR group at UIC, DKE group at BUW, VAL group at IISc Bangalore).

| Dec 2023: | Our paper on student-code guided test case generation has been accepted at the AAAI-2024 AI4ED Workshop. |
| May 2023: | Started my internship at AWS AI Labs in NYC. |
| May 2023: | Our paper on reading comprehension received outstanding paper mention and oral acceptance at the BEA Workshop - ACL 2023 |
| May 2023: | Awarded the CICS Victor Lesser Graduate Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence |
| April 2023: | Our paper on Causal Discovery in Knowledge Tracing has been accepted at EDM 2023 |
| Jan 2023: | Awarded the CICS Common Good Fellowship for Spring 2023 |
| Sept 2022: | Our paper on emotion and novelty aware multi-lingual multimodal misinformation detection has been accepted at AACL-IJCNLP 2023 |
